A group of Welwyn Wheelers youth riders rode the first (of four) heats of the Southern Area rounds of The National Youth Track Omnium Series in Portsmouth on Saturday 3rd May.  Against tough opposition the riders did themselves credit with Joe Fry in particular coming 3rd overall in the U12 omnium.  George Bateman set himself up well for series by taking a 6th place overall in the U14 boys.
