A good contingent of Welwyn riders rode event 2 of the Victoria CC 10.2 series.  First up was the re-formed (as opposed to reformed) trio of James Johnson, David Scott and Tim Chandler.  Excuses were put in early; Tim didn't have his aero helmet, James didn't have his overshoes, impending colds etc but despite all of that the time of 24:21 was an improvement on event 1 by over 30 seconds and on the previous year's time. They missed out on 2nd place by just 4 seconds.

Andrew Brown and Steve Hayward teamed up for first time for the 2-up and recorded 24:58 which was good enough for third place in that competition.

The stars of the day were the solo riders starting with Chris Sheppard who managed to better the 2-up time by recording 24:53 and 13th place overall.  Andrew Street did 26:43 to beat Tom Gallagher (27:13) for the junior prize - we look forward to seeing Andrew sporting his new socks down at the track.  Jo Knight continued her good run in this event by moving up one place to be first lady with 27:41 and taking home a shoe bag.
