Alex Peeke, James Johnson and Andrew Porter rode the Hitchin Nomads middle markers 25 on the F1 on 3 August.  The event was for riders who hadn't gone under the hour in the last three seasons so congratulations are due to the 7 riders who did go under on the day.  There was a fresh but not too strong south westerly wind which made the return leg harder than the trek north to Buckden.  A sharp shower halfway through the race also made things a little unpleasant and I for one negotiated the Buckden roundabout with almost comical caution.

James Johnson - 1:02:03 - 17th place

Alex Peeke - 1:02:50 - 20th place and a PB by 1:16

Andrew Porter - 1:08:25 - 53rd place

The event was won by M Harrison of Concorde CC in 56:40 who according to the start sheet had a previous LTS best of 1:01:26 so chappeau to him.
