Alex Peeke and Andrew Street rode the MKCA circuit on 10 July on a damp and generally uninspiring evening. Because of the conditions the race was confined to the small inner circuit for the full hour. The race was won by a two man break which went away after about 30 mins of repeated attacks. It never got more than about 200-300m away but the gap just didn't come down. Alex had a few attempts to get away and join them but only succeeded in pulling the bunch along with him for a lap or so each time. In the final sprint for the placings Alex took 10th place and a first solitary BC ranking point with Andrew just a few places behind having ridden a controlled and comfortable race.
