Ex-Welwyn Wheeler part of new female pro-cycling team.

It was announced today that ex-Welwyn Wheeler, Emma Trott, will ride for an entirely British pro-cycling team. The team, sponsored by the high street bike retailer, Halfords, will be known as Halfords-Bikehut.

The team will be led by World Champion Nicole Cooke with the goal of giving Nicole and the team the ideal performance environment, sufficient support, focus and UK based training to put them in top contention for a gold medal at the Beijing Olympics.

The team will be riding bikes designed by Chris Boardman. These bikes are a joint venture between Halfords and Boardman and were launched in Halford Bikehuts last year.
